I would advise storing the cherries in the refrigerator.
Serve your bourbon soaked cherries as a garnish to your cocktail. Or eat them on their own. No judgment here.
What brand of bourbon should I use?
My short answer is: use what you like. But if you are looking for specific suggestions I would say to use woodford reserve, Jim Beam or Jim Beam Red Stag.
