The Secret to Earning Millions with GTA Online’s Daily Objectives (2024)

There are many different ways of making money in GTA Online, but there is one that often goes unnoticed, and that is completing your Daily Objectives.

At first glance, Daily Objectives might not seem like a very viable option to earn money in GTA Online, but if you look at them as a long-term “time investment,” they can be rewarding.

It is true that doing Daily Objectives used to not be that lucrative, before the release of the . Previously, players could earn up to $1.4 million cash and 167,000 RP. However, now, since the update landed, those amounts have been increased to $1.92 million and 230,000 RP. With some consistency, Objectives can payout decently.

There are two types of Objectives, also known as Challenges, you can do in GTA Online – Daily and Weekly. Let’s take a look at what each offers in terms of rewards.

Daily Objectives

Daily Objectives, also dubbed Daily Challenges, give you three different objectives to complete every day. To access them, simply navigate to your interaction menu (on PC press ‘M’, PlayStation press the touchpad, and Xbox press the view button) and head to the ‘Challenges’ section. Upon successfully completing all three objectives, you’ll be rewarded with $30,000 and 5,000 RP.

However, the real earnings lie beyond the completion of a day or two of challenges. As highlighted earlier, your earnings potential hinges on dedication and consistency. For instance, completing daily objectives for seven consecutive days unlocks a reward of $150,000 and 20,000 RP. Pushing further, maintaining this streak for twenty-eight consecutive days yields a bonus reward of $750,000 and 50,000 RP.

While it may not sound overly thrilling, the accumulation of rewards can be significant, especially considering the minimal effort required – just a few side missions each day in GTA Online. Typically, these challenges take no more than 15-20 minutes to complete. However, the main challenge lies in their randomness. Each day presents a new set of tasks, and for solo players, this can pose a challenge, particularly when some tasks are challenging to complete alone.

For instance, if you’re on your 6th day of completing the tasks and encounter a particularly difficult challenge, failing to complete it before the next server reset means losing your streak of 6-7 days, rendering your week’s worth of effort useless (beyond the base rewards). This is usually the case if you get a random heist finale as one of the challenges.

You receive a new set of challenges daily when the server refreshes at 6 A.M. UTC (11 P.M. PDT and 2 A.M. EDT). These challenges typically include at least one job, like a Deathmatch, Racing, Capture, Last Team Standing or Versus Mission, a Contact Mission, heist prep, or finale, that could potentially ruin your daily streak. You’ll also have one activity to complete, such as holding up a store, collecting a bounty, stealing or destroying vehicles, or modding a vehicle at a car shop. These activities are usually quick and can be completed within free roam of GTA Online.

Players will receive daily objectives tailored to their in-game holdings. For instance, if you don’t own a particular business or vehicle, you won’t receive objectives related to those assets – so don’t worry about having to spend money purchasing cars or businesses just to complete objectives!

Weekly Objectives

Unlike the Daily Objectives, that were first introduced to GTA Online with The Heists update, Weekly Challenges were added later in the game with The Chop Shop update.

Each week, players receive a single objective, identical for everyone. Upon successful completion of this Weekly Challenge, you are rewarded with $100,000 and 10,000 RP. Weekly challenges undergo a refresh only during event weeks, with progress resetting precisely at 7 A.M. UTC every Thursday.

Unlike the Daily Objectives, of which there are dozens, GTA Online doesn’t have many different Weekly Objectives. Below is a list of them all:

  • Complete at least one of the three Salvage Yard Robberies (can do in co-op).
  • Complete three Casino Works for Agatha Baker.
  • Compete three Fooligan Jobs.
  • Complete all 10 waves of a Survival.
  • Complete any Diamond Casino Heist Elite Challenge (can do in co-op).
  • Complete “Scene of the Crime”.
  • Complete The Diamond Casino Heist (can do in co-op).
  • Deliver two export vehicles to Simeon.
  • Earn $50,000 in wages as an Associate or Bodyguard.
  • Participate in four Drift Races.
  • Recover five vehicles using the Tow Truck.
  • Win two Drag or Drift Races.
  • Win two Races.

There’s one more which is exclusive to the edition of the game:

  • Photograph three animals for Shoot Animals photography.

Daily Objectives offer a decent way to earn some extra cash, but we wouldn’t suggest relying solely on them for your primary income in GTA Online. For new players, however, they can be quite lucrative early on, offering potential earnings of nearly $2 million in a month, which is a respectable sum for beginners to start their journey with!

By maintaining consistency with your Daily Challenges for at least 28 consecutive days, and coupling them with activities like The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid, beginners can lay a solid foundation for success and eventually move on to more profitable money-making methods.
